For every minute you are angry you lose
sixty seconds of happiness.
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
At the core of all anger is a need that is not being fulfilled.
~ Marshall B. Rosenberg
Let Go of Anger
Anger is generally the result of frustration. It’s a heavy burden to bear and not only blocks your joy but creates stress that can actually cause physical damage to your body.
Life is too short to waste even one minute on anger, so it’s up to you to find out what’s causing your frustration and take steps to remove it from your life.
In the words of Colin Powell, “Get mad and get over it.” Sometimes getting angry can motivate us into making a long-overdue change in our lives, but then we need to let it go and move on to a more joyful place.
Don’t live your life as an angry person. To find serenity, follow the advice offered in the well-known “Serenity Prayer” to change the things you can and adjust your attitude to accept the things you can’t.
You must let go of the anger to make room for joy!
